Paddy Marshall BA, VetMB, MRCVS

Small Animal and Equine

Paddy qualified from Cambridge in 1982 and moved to the area in 1985 after three years spent working as a vet in the King's Troop. He runs The Vet Centre Ltd and has a particular interest in small animal surgery and equine work. His outside interests include singing, acting and playing the saxophone as well as being a director of Opera della Luna, a professional touring opera company.

Jennifer Harbison MA, VetMB, MRCVS


Jennifer qualified from Cambridge in 2003 and joined the practice in 2005. She works as an equine vet with a special interest in stud medicine, reproductive and racing work. Jennifer enjoys hunting and team chasing as well as training and riding point-to-pointers.


Anna Blackham BSc, BVSc, MRCVS

Small Animal

Anna qualified from Liverpool in 2015 having previously done a Biomedical Science degree at Kings College London. She enjoys the wide variety of work involved in small animal practice. Her interests are riding, cycling and skiing.

Kate Smith BVSc, MRCVS

Small Animal

Kate qualified from Bristol in 1997 and returned to her Northamptonshire roots 5 years ago after working in Berkshire and Surrey. She joined us in January 2013 and works with small animals, having a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and emergency/critical care. She also enjoys caring for our more geriatric patients. Kate spends most of her time managing the Cherry Lane branch, and rows with MK rowing club in her spare time. She has a border terrier called Slug!


Peter Mackenzie BVM &S BA MRCVS

Small Animal

Peter qualified from Edinburgh in 1974. He spent his first years in mixed practice before setting up on his own in North East Scotland. He later sold the practice  and then went on to be Senior Vet at the PDSA, before leaving to join The Vet Centre Ltd. His interests are painting, skiing, fishing and playing the pipes.

Hannah Benbow BA, VetMB, MRCVS

Small Animal

Hannah qualified in Cambridge in July 2017, she joined the practice straight from university.  She is interested in surgery within the veterinary industry.  Hannah loves all sport but especially skiing and boxing.
